I could normally select and boot from different partitions in Startup Manager a few days ago. I can access the recovery partition with command + R and I can boot windows as virtual machine using parallels. No matter what I do I cannot load any partition from the start up manager.Īs a note, the mac boots normally if I don't hold the option key.

I can select the different partitions but when i hit the return button or double click on them to load them up nothing happens. the startup manager appears with the MacOs partition, my win7 bootcamp partition and the recovery partition Recently I'm having the problem that upon startup my mac (MBP- El Capitan 10.11.5) gets stuck if I go into the startup manager by holding the option key.
